Meigs County Sheriff Department

Currently, 15 certified correctional officers manage the daily operations at the Meigs County Jail. Their responsibilities include booking and releasing inmates, supervising inmate activities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both inmates and visitors, and maintaining compliance with all standards established by the Tennessee Correctional Institute.
